This is really just a test to see if I can create a content. I will try and add a bit more every day but as you all know its not so easy really. But what can you do? We are mere humans after all - and there is nothing particularly special about that!
Friday 7 March 2008 - 23:53: Yu-Gi-WHAT?
Today saw the arrival of some Yu-Gi-Oh! cards I had bought from ebay. It was what seemed like a cunning plan to try and get myself a small amount to be able to join in with the young people I work with at the children's home.
Suffice to say I did not know what I was getting myself into! The cards I got I got cheap 37 for £1.99 inc postage. But the rules and the ideas are not as straight forward as I thought they would be. I am definitely not going to take it up full time - that's for sure!
Lucy here today, I miss her tons when its a day when I am working or a day when she can't get over. But that's life - we have ambitions to work towards, just seems to get every bit more annoying when I here older people suggesting that things were harder in their day!
Oh well off to bed, had a good day all in all! Good night peeps.
Monday 10th March 2008 - 18.36: Weekend Challenge.
The weekend just gone was a mountain! On Saturday I helped to wrestle three sheds to the ground, loaded them into a truck and then unloaded them at their new home. All in the name of a work colleague! I do like a good challenge.
What was nice was seeing some truly massive house spiders with their pattern on their abdomen which was almost like that of a tabby cat. Quite striking - they must have been female as I shouldn't imagine the males get that big!
Sunday was a different challenge - for the 3rd time this season I played a full 90 minutes for the football team I play for and battled all of the way through on the wing. Our right back is in his 40s and not quick so I was more like a wing back! I have quite a few bruises to show from it as a result and almost threw up at the end. Still it was good fun.
As if that was not enough I was off to work at 4pm! A great afternoon and evening with the young 'uns and I find myself buying some cheap Yu-Gi-Oh cards off ebay again!
As for today - I have been relatively lazy tidying up my room and reading some of a book called Crusade which is the second part of a planned trilogy by Robyn Young - I recommend it to anyone who has an interest in the middle east or in the Crusades.
Tonight I am off to five a side football with a work colleague who I see more as a friend these days. Its all good - and just 6 days from being 26 too . . . . .
